    History

    Parappukadu Devi Temple belongs to the Parappukad family. According to legends, they were instructed to build the Devi Temple by their royal astrologer as there arose some serious problems.     As the temple was built following Tamilnaru’s architectural style, it looks like an exact Tamilnadu temple. The intricate carvings on its peak are truly eye-catching.
    This temple is situated at the edge of a tapioca field. Because of this, its ambiance is tranquil and serene. Also provides a panoramic landscape view of rural areas.
    Parappukadu Devi Temple features an 82 feet high Gopuram. Its huge courtyard with intricately carved ceilings and pillars welcomes its visitors. Devi Bhagavathy predominates in the sanctum sanctorum. Besides, there is a 13 feets large idol of Lord Ram and a similar sized Hanuman statue.
