    Punkunnam Sree Shiva Temple is a small temple in Punkunnam, Thrissur, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The main deity is lord Shiva and the other deities are Goddess Parvathy, lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyappa, and Parth Sarathi. MohaSiveratri is one of the famous festivals celebrated at this temple. The Ganeshotsavam is also celebrated here with grand style. During Sabarimala season, free food is provided to guests. The temple is well maintained and its calm and quiet atmosphere is perfect for prayer and worship of god.

    Punkunnam Sree Shiva Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kerala. It was built by the Rajes of the Medieval Century which reflects the Kerala style of architecture. The gopuram and the main sanctum display exquisite artistry that reflects the craftsmen of the era. It is one of the biblical temples in the whole area. The Temple was built to service the Hindu community in the region.
