    Satyabadi Gopinatha Temple is a medieval, which is formally known as Sakshigopal temple which is dedicated to Lord Gopinatha. This Temple is situated on the Puri Bhubaneshwar highway in Odisha, in the town of Sakhigopal. The built-in style of the temple is Kalinga Architecture.

    History

     

    Near Puri, this is a beautiful temple of Lord Krishna, and it is believed that there lord himself came with a devotee to give witness for him. But the devotee has to accept a condition that he should not look back. While the devotee hears the sound of grugru, the devotee came to know that he is being followed by the god. Radha is also worshipped here along with Lord Krishna. The legs of Radha are opened up on the day of Amla Navami, for darshan. But it is unexposed throughout the year.

    By Air: Situated at Bhubaneswar, the nearest airport to Chilka is Bhubaneshwar airport, which is 105 km from Barkul, 110 km from Satapada, and from Rambha,130 km. From the Airport, you can take any public or private transport to reach your destination.

    By rail: Chilka Lake is touched at Balugaon. Chilika, Khallikote, and Rambha by the Calcutta-Chennai railway route of South Eastern Railways touch.  For Barkul, the nearest railway station is located at Balugaon at a distance of 5 km from Chilka. Besides the temple, Sakhigopal is the nearest railway station. There are various kinds of transport available in the station through which you can reach your desired place.

    By Road: Chennai National Highway No. 5 linking Calcutta at about a distance of 689 km, Cuttack at a distance of 132 km, and Visakhapatnam at about a distance of  348 km, to reach the lake. From Puri and Bhubaneswar, OTDC and other private tour operators provide luxury coaches and cars. Sakhigopal bus station is the nearest bus stand.
