    History

According to the Myths, there lived 7 ‘Rishis’. They were named Arti, Vashisht, Kashyapa, Jamadagni, Vishwamrita, Gautam, and Bharadwaja. Once these 7 ‘rishis’ decided to meditate on the bank of the Ganges. But, suddenly their meditation got interrupted by the sound of the heavy waves and they were trapped in the river. Later, it is said that the river split and started to flow in 7 different streams known as Sapt Sarovar. And the place where the Saptarishis meditated is the Saptrishi Ashram built.

    Inside/Outside Views

The ashram is a scenic heavenly-looking place with the least crowd (unlike the rest of Haridwar). This is a spot where you can find peace and solace when you look at the view of the clear pristine Ganga. Its pastel-colored rocky banks will soothe your eyes. The ripples soothe your ears and the cold breeze soothes your senses. It’s also a very photogenic place for photographers for those who love to take good portraits with a calming backdrop. Here the water is so clear that you can see the river bed very clearly.
The ashram is located in a very good location for a stay. If you are looking for a place to stay outside the hustle of the city this is a perfect place. Everyone loves this place as there is a private ghat near Maa Ganga, which is hardly 200 mtr in walking distance. You can enjoy the morning sunrise and the sunsets. Rooms are not as clean as hotels but it is good. x. These are good.
