Trishula is the Lord’s weapon, and a dog is his vahan. People refer to the temple’s deity as the region’s guardian or Kshetrapal. The god of Bhairavnath temple is said to guard both the main temple area and the entire Kedarnath valley when the Kedarnath temple closes in the winter, owing to severe snowfall. Attraction

The ferocious incarnation of Lord Shiva, known as the idol of Bhairavnath, is the main draw of the Bhairavnath Temple in Rudraprayag. It is thought to be extremely powerful and sacred. The temple’s setting among the stunning Himalayan mountains and close to the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers also contributes to its spiritual significance and attraction.

    History

Kedarnath temple and Bhairavnath temple are about 600 meters apart. Rawal or Rajput Shir Bhikund erected the temple’s main deity before 3001 BC. The temple’s existing god is regarded as a protector of the area around the temple, and Bhairnath is tasked with watching over the temple’s grounds.
