History

Beautiful Place in Tezu District Museum This Museum was established in 1956 to bring awareness and to express the local cultural arts of the tribal community to people. The museum carries the story of local tribal people. First, the museum was on the Darrang College later in the year 2002 it was shifted permanently to the British historic building Dak Bungalow.

The objects are sculptures, manuscripts, antiquities, copper plate inscriptions, manuscripts, Ahom period cannons, and crafts of various communities and satra institutions.
