    Barehipani Waterfall is called the second-tallest waterfall in India. It is situated in the Similipal National Park in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, India. According to different research,  the waterfall is 399 meters in height (1309ft). Basically, the waterfall is designed as a tower with two drops.  It offers scenic beauty with glamorous nature. The waterfall is surrounded by biodiversity. It is also known as a home for various plant species and wildlife, such as Elephants, numerous birds, and Leopards. Besides, the most attractive part of the waterfall is that it helps hold ecological significance and contributes to the local ecosystem. It’s a must-visit place in Odisha.

Here, they find spiritual peace and satisfaction.
    According to history,  the fall was originated from a river named Budhabalanga which is flowing over the Eastern Ghats of the Meghasuni mountain. Gradually, the falls turned into an important aspect for it’s surrounding. Especially, the fall plays a vital role in maintaining the local ecosystem with it’s water. It also helps to maintain the ecological balance.
    So, the fall has a fascinating history. It has a myth. The local legend still believes in their ancient myth.

    By air: Kolkata Airport is the nearest airport to the Waterfall. It is approximately 254 km away from the place. The distance between Bhubaneswar Airport and Barehipani Waterfall is 289 km. You can get there very easily from here. You can hire a taxi or take a bus to get there very easily.  

    By Train: Balasore Railway Station is the nearest station  to the Waterfall.  It is approximately 6 km away from the station.  You can easily get a cab or taxi to get to the place. 

    By Road: Jashipur Bus stand is the nearest bus stand to the Waterfall. It is approximately 30 km away from the Waterfall. From Baripada town, you can take a taxi or cab to reach Waterfall. It is only 70.2 km away from the bus stand. The road is well-connected, so it is a totally hassle-free journey.  Besides, you can enjoy the lush greenery.

    Tips for Travellers

    • It remains pleasant during the daytime. It remains quite chilly during the evening time.
    • Try to wear shoes.
    • The hills are completely sharp and risky.  So, be careful.
