    Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum is one of the tourist attractions in Ludhiana. The Foundation of this Museum was laid in 1990 and this Museum was planned to create general awareness about the Defense services. This Museum was established in 1999.

    This Museum was originally the summer palace of the first king of the Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It then became a museum in 1977 AD and is a treasure trove of the history, architecture, and art of the Sikhs of the 18th and 19th centuries AD.

    In this place, there is, the huge statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh sitting very proudly and magnificently on a Throne that can be seen at the entrance of this museum.     There are 12 galleries in this Museum post Independence history Gallery, galleries like an ancient history gallery, a War hero’s gallery, Costume Gallery, Library, a Kargil gallery, Air Force and Navy Gallery and also has 2 beautiful lawns where war trophies of the army, air force, navy and displayed.

    9.30 am to 5 pm is the visiting time of this place. For avoiding rushing you should visit this place in the morning time.

    Rs. 40 for adults, Rs.20 for children, free for children below the age of 5 years
