Jharkhand state of India is formatted on 15th November 2000 with 79,710km^2 area which is the 15th largest state of India. Present capital of this state is Ranchi and the present Chief minister is Hemant Soren. Jharkhand is famous for waterfalls, holy places and its hills.
Jharkhand is situated in the eastern part of India. The state is bordered by Bihar in north side, Uttar Pradesh in northwest, Chhattisgarh in west, Odisha in south, and West Bengal in east.
Official language of Jharkhand is Hindi and native language are Angika, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Ho, Kharia, Khortha, Kurmali, Kurukh, Magahi, Maithili, Mundari, Nagpuri, Odia, Santali, Urdu.
There are 32 tribal communities in Jharkhand including baiga, Bathaudi, Asur, Banjara, Bhumji, Bedia, Binjhia, Santhal, Oraon, Birjia, Birhor, Chero, Gond, Karmali, Parhaiya, Chick Baraik, Ho, Kharwar, Khond, Kharia, Gorait, Korba, Kisan, Kora, Lohar, Munda, Mahli, Mal Paharia, Sauria Paharia, Savar and Shabars.

A traditional festival of Jharkhand named Sarhul every year organized in Ranchi with different tribal groups.
Karam is another festival which is celebrated on the 11th day of a full moon. In this festival people bring karam trees and place them on the ground.
Jitia is a celebration of mother fasting for children’s welfare.
In Nawakhani festival grains are eaten following the harvest.
Phagwa or holi festival of spring when flowers blossoms.
Other festivals are Sarna, Tussu, Vaha, Dussehra.
Jhumair, Domkach, Painki, Chhau dance, Mundari dance, Santali dance are traditional dance form of Jharkhand.
The local tattoo tradition of Godna is a famous and essential tradition for them.
Jharkhand formed on 15th November 2000 with 32 tribal communities who had dreamed of a separate state for a long time.
During the 13th century, Raja Jai Singh Deo of Odisha declared himself the ruler of Jharkhand.
After the liberation of India, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha started regular agitation which led them to achieve Jharkhand Area Autonomous Council in 1995 and finally a liberal state.

By Bus: Ranchi is located at the junction of national highways. State transport and private buses are available for moving within states and neighboring states.
